Just like the great American standards, many French songs have survived the trial of time, and are equally rich melodically and harmonically.
These piano arrangements constitute a rereading of some of the most beautiful French songs.
Working from the original melody, the authors have reharmonised them and revised technical piano aspects, adding written improvisations for certain pieces.
In the first section of this album, a piano solo version is suggested and in the second section, Fake Book scores (melodies with chords changes) are given to promote a freer and more personal interpretation.
This album is intended for:
- classical musicians who, through it, will discover the flavour of jazz and written out improvisation
- jazz musicians who will find classical aspects in the notation (dynamics, phrasings, fingerings ...)
- cocktail bar pianists interested in revised arrangements
- and lastly to all musicians hoping to develop a piano repertoire of French songs.
Contains:
