"Reflections" means that these are nicely developed pieces that do more than just state and restate the hymn tunes. Interesting but approachable writing is brought to bear on BREAK BREAD TOGETHER, SLANE, AND a lovely and unusual Pastorale on FOREST GREEN.
All three hymn tunes herein will be familiar to United Methodist congregations: LET US BREAK BREAD TOGETHER, FOREST GREEN, and SLANE. As 'reflections' would indicate, these pieces are quiet and pensive, although perhaps surprisingly, FOREST GREEN demonstrates more of a lilt than the others. It also requires more independence between hands and feet. A bit of simultaneous three-against-two is occasionally required. Moderately easy.
